Case Studies
Birmingham Voluntary Service Council – Impact Measurement & SROI Analysis
ASAN undertook a process of in-depth examination of four strands of activity included in service level agreement with Birmingham City Council. For each of the strands we identified possible impact measures and indicators which could be realistically measured and monitored. In addition a comprehensive social return on investment calculation was carried out for the Birmingham Volunteering Bureau.
Norton Hall Children & Family Centre – Social Accounting Programme
We developed and delivered a learning programme to equip staff and volunteers to measure the organisation’s social, environmental and economic impact.
Delivery of Social Accounting Training
ASAN has housed the regional office of the Social Audit Network. We have coordinated and delivered two social accounting clusters which enabled over 40 West Midlands social enterprises to work their way through the formal process of social accounting.
ASAN staff are experienced and validated by the Social Audit Network to deliver the two day ‘Prove, Improve & Account’ training. This is required training for Social Auditors. We have been engaged by range of infrastructure organisations including Social Enterprise East Midlands and Initiative for Social Entrepreneurs (I-SE) to deliver such training.
We have run numerous social value workshops throughout the Midlands which have introduced the principles of impact to social value organisations.
