The Mike Swain Memorial Garden is a garden space located behind All Saints Community Centre. It is available for use by any member of the community.
Currently the garden is used by a range of groups and can be booked for regular sessions for community groups or agencies needing outdoor space in All Saints.
Residents are also welcome to drop in and use the garden on weekdays.
For more information or to book a regular session in the garden call The Workspace on 01902 877530
Wednesday Gardening Group
The garden is maintained by a small group of volunteers who meet every Wednesday. The group does work on the garden from 10.30am – 12.30pm followed by a soup lunch. It’s a group supported by All Saints Church and aims to keep the garden and grounds in a good condition and to grow produce within it.
The group is always looking for volunteers to come and join!
If you wish to volunteer to work in the garden please fill in a Volunteer Application Form and return it to reception@asan.org.uk
One of the group members will then be in touch with you.
Mike Swain
The Mike Swain Memorial Garden was opened in 2012 in memory of ASAN’s former Chief Executive Mike Swain.
For over 30 years, Mike was an active community worker in Wolverhampton and the Black Country, championing the interests of communities and empowering residents to play a meaningful role in regenerating their neighbourhoods.
Mike worked in All Saints since the 1970’s (including 11 years as ASAN Chief Executive). Improving the quality of life in the area was something he was deeply committed to.
